How Users Opt In
GaiaStR may collect or confirm a mobile number during account registration, booking checkout, Host or Agent onboarding/application, co-listing, support, or account communication-preference workflows. When SMS is offered, users are shown separate optional consent choices for transactional/informational SMS and for marketing/promotional SMS. The choices are unchecked by default, and users may continue without selecting either option.
I agree to receive recurring transactional and informational SMS from GaiaStR about bookings, payments/refunds, Host or Traveler messages, check-in/check-out, cancellations, security notices, damage claims, account support, and trip alerts. SMS consent is optional and not a condition of purchase, booking, account creation, or use of GaiaStR.

Where supported, a user who previously opted out may reply START or may re-enable an eligible SMS category through GaiaStR's communication preferences. Marketing texts still require separate permission.

GaiaStR does not share, sell, rent, transfer, or provide mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information, text messaging originator opt-in data, or messaging consent records to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
